About

HISTORY

EWI was established in San Francisco in 1938 as Executive Secretaries, an organization to bring key women together to promote their firms and improve their community.

The Denver Chapter was chartered on November 22, 1954.

In 1977, the name was changed to Executive Women International to better reflect the changing role of women in the workplace and the international expansion.

EWI continues to evolve.  Today, there are nearly 70 Chapters in major cities in the United States and Canada.  The organization is constantly seeking to be current and relevant to its members, with its network available to every member firm.

MISSION

Executive Women International (EWI) brings together key individuals from diverse businesses for the purpose of promoting member firms, enhancing personal and professional development, and encouraging community involvement.

Comprised of an exclusive network of business and professional women united to promote their firms through the exchange of information and education, EWI fosters personal growth and leadership.  It is dedicated to the civic and philanthropic enrichment of its community.

EWI Denver provides service to the local community through the Adult Students in Scholastic Transition scholarship program and our local literacy program.

CAREERS

EWI enhances the careers of our members by providing constant opportunities to build relationships and hone professional skills. Being the representative of a member firm in EWI means constantly interacting with some of the top members of the sharpest firms in the world.

The added benefit of national annual conferences, webinars, and regular career workshops put on at the local level means that representatives receive ready, relevant career training, and exposure. Each career workshop and webinar focuses on essential leadership, communication, and professional skills.

The Denver chapter hosts monthly dinner meetings that offer an opportunity for networking and professional development. Committee and board positions help our members develop their leadership potential.

Our Corporate office provides periodical Professional Development Webinars.
